Retrieved and remastered from the original master recordings, this is/was the final completed effort under the name Parallax before retiring it permanently. Seven years ago now, I finished this release after working on it for several months, only to realize it was really the beginning of something else. It was never given a "formal" release, instead just uploaded as MP3 files for a few friends and family, until now. I'm truly impressed and surprised at how well-built this album still is, despite several other Parallax recordings from the exact same time that do not date quite as elegantly. It's very clear listening to Blisschord that I had finally found "the Milieu sound" and that it was time to move forward into these greener pastures. Still, there is a naivete present in these works that will possibly never appear in any of my work, ever again, and for that it has become a landmark in my now elongated body of work, and hopefully something others can enjoy as much as I still do.

For me this is one of the darkest albums you can find in the Milieu catalogue. Delivering an incredibly melancholic atmosphere, Brother also transfers a strange warmth - like coming home after a long exhausting journey and seeing your familiar fields and streets at night.
