The second full-length Parallax album, The Soft Machines. Originally recorded 2002-2004, and released to only family and friends on a small run of CD-Rs. Remastered in 2008 at 114RKD, and released on another CD-R edition of 50 copies, in tandem with the Revolving Clouds EP. Musically, The Soft Machines is a meandering and playful example of the exploratory electronics I dabbled in prior to tightening things up with Milieu. As such, the pacing might feel slow, the moods might be too varied, but it is easy to hear parts of what was to come in these tracks, and for that, they charm in their own unique way.
